Since I heard about the statue monument being made, overall I think it's a great idea.
Actually for the most part it's long overdue.

Growing up in the 70's on the west side of the city.I can say I did benefit from his efforts.

But today with all the black on black violence, self hate and self destruction, prison slave industrial activity, drug selling, drug using & broken families, it's real obvious that his dream has become a full blown nightmare for many black people who were not born back then and who did not take part in this activity.

I was at the very first Million Man March and I went in support of all the black people who were going to be there. I did not go to support any particular agenda or belief.

With the unveiling of the statue monument on the date of 10-16-2011, I wonder what is the real purpose or agenda behind it.
At this point in time black America needs a new liberation paradigm of independence and black people controlling their overall destiny.

Trying to relive or trying to make work ideas from the 60's is not solving the problems of poor black people in the community today.
