African Americans have not been able to provide jobs for their own people because most of us have opted to work for mainstream corporations epecially the educated ones. As a result, we have not closed the wealth gap with whites for over 200 years. Our practical behavior of being employees, mostly, will plague our children for many more years to come. High-priced education has taught us very little.

I want to respond a year later. but i think its not the fact that we work for main stream. Its the fact that we move away from our old neighborhoods, shop at new places and never go back and invest. wether its opening a business or buying products. we leave our past in the dust. whats the point of starting a business if 1, black people will still go to walmart kroger and will not shop with u. 2. black people have the least disposable income so they not buying much. 3. we are the most unemployed. your statement is ok but not the true problem. forget black business only. 1. we need to get a job period 2. we need black businesses to be as organized as white businesses and compete. 3. stop complaining and invite people to donate and volunteer at bmtt. 4. then we compete with whites for investors, land, customers the same way they do. every country discriminates against the weaker race. every country I can think of. so I say. BLACK people. WE DONT HAVE TO BE THE WEAKER RACE. Asians are not. and they are a very small minority group in the us an the are beating whites in almost every area. lets organize together as a community block by block
